How to Reclaim our Flag and Its Star Power

Incorporate our Flag in all your pro-democracy actions:

​

Individuals - Bring a flag with you to demonstrations; doing so will cross-message your protest signs.

​

Groups - Invest in a large flag and bring to your events. Bring extra flags for fellow activists - remind them to help Reclaim Our Flag. 

​

Event leaders - Organize a "we the people Flag corps" volunteers who bring large flags and position them at the front of marches, on stages, near the podium. Indoor events hang a flag on the wall (blue/stars top left).

Always share on Social Media. Our Flag is photogenic.  #ReclaimOurFlag

 

 

By reclaiming our Flag you:

-are a Patriot striving for Liberty and Justice for all Americans

-are continuing in a long glorious history of American Resistance movements who have aligned their actions with the values idealized and represented in our Flag and who added their own logos to the tapestry of American progress

-are demonstrating to others what you are fighting for

-are inspiring hope that our Nation and Union have common

-are demonstrating that you are a patriotic American

-are sharing with Americans a common symbol of our Democracy

-reclaim our Democracy as a patriotic action

-reclaim our Flag as a patriotic action

-reclaim our Flag from extremists as their symbol of exclusionary Nationalism

BONUS actions:

 Waving a Flag does not make you patriotic  - engaging in your Democracy to insure Liberty and Justice for All - does. 

​

Bring our Flag to any communication with your State or Congressional/political Representatives. Also identify yourself as a Patriot, because your engagement shows that you are.

If you are part of a group - discuss with your group how the Patriotic connections of your actions and find your own ways to Reclaim Our Flag. Remember - we need more people to join us and most Americans recognize the patriotism of those who respect and fly the Flag.​​
